Alliance Transition
A Planned Transition to the IACUC Administrators Alliance
For more than 25 years, the IACUC Administrators Association (IAA) has supported the national IACUC administrative community by fostering collaboration, professional development, and a strong peer network. With the steadfast engagement of its members and the invaluable involvement of leaders from Office of Laboratory Animal Welfare, United States Department of Agriculture, and AAALAC International, the Association has hosted hundreds of in-person and virtual meetings and delivered impactful training programs that strengthened IACUC administration nationwide.

As we look forward to the future, the Association has completed a deliberate transition of its functions to the newly established IACUC Administrators Alliance. This planned shift ensures that the values, collaborative spirit, and professional support cultivated over more than two decades will continue to grow, strengthen, and evolve.

Beginning in 2026, programs and activities will continue to be delivered without interruption during the transition period. Programming will be hosted and facilitated by Basic Training and Best Practices, with sponsorship provided by the IACUC Administrators Association, to ensure continuity, quality, and ongoing engagement for the IACUC community.
